Gutenberg 2.0 marketing site (Organization of Book Publishers of Ontario)
Design and development of website, CMS, e-commerce system

This site was built to promote Gutenberg 2.0, a 10-part online professional development program for book publishing professionals offered by the OBPO/ACP in partnership with Humber College.

The Porcupine’s Quill and The Devil’s Artisan websites
Design and CSS/XHTML coding

The Porcupine’s Quill needed to rebuild the online presence for their publishing company and long-running printing arts journal. Traditional printing methods — as practised beautifully by The Porcupine’s Quill on all their titles — were the inspiration for the design, which incorporates a great deal of quality content.

Fruit by Brian Francis microsite (ECW Press)
Design based on cover art and integration with existing Drupal CMS

We built a microsite for Fruit by Brian Francis, a CBC Canada Reads selection for 2009. The site had to evoke the cover design, while working with ECW’s existing Drupal CMS. Also, we’ve updated the design and functionality of their main site, and are in the process of creating individual subsections for ECW’s extensive genre list.

The Box: A Mixed Cultural Salon
Design and development using Indexhibit CMS

This is an ongoing experimental pro bono project for the Box Salon events curated by Louise Bak in Toronto. The open source Indexhibit CMS was used for this project with the intention of opening the site up to all event participants once the software allows it, and eventually archiving and indexing the many hundreds of hours of Box Salon video footage in existence.

FemBots official band website
Design, development, Flash and custom CMS

The FemBots site was a complex design which made extensive use of Flash and multimedia content. The entire site (including Flash slideshow on homepage) is editable via a robust custom CMS.

Andrew Westoll author site
Design based on cover art, development, Flash and custom CMS

Andrew’s site was built primarily as a hub for the promotion of his award-winning debut work of non-fiction, The Riverbones. The site also features the beautiful photographic work of Jason Rothe.

Award-winning Canadian author Camilla Gibb needed a refreshing of her existing site design, and a new content-driven interface complete with a photo gallery and blog.

Design, development of web site, Flash application and custom CMS

Josh Greenhut is a writer, a brand strategist, a marketing expert and a generator of brilliant ideas. He needed a simple site with a complex interactive hook that would communicate his quality of service. Music for the Flash app was composed by Silent Joe.

Design and development of website, custom CMS, and Flash/XML-based slideshow apps

We built a visually rich interface to give site visitors the best possible introduction to the RS Field Design’s corporate and residential interior design services. The Flash slideshows on the Home and Portfolio pages are fully intergrated with the custom content management system.

Hugh Brewster, multiple-award-winning author of several educational and historical titles including DIEPPE: Canada’s Darkest Day of World War II, needed a simple, easy-to-update site to promote his books and speaking engagements in schools and libraries.

Design and development of database-driven website with custom CMS

One of our favourite projects, this site offers a fully-indexed catalogue of all authors managed by Anne McDermid and Associates, as well as all of their titles. An older site, still running as smoothly as ever.
